And here we are tucking in her for the long fermentation ahead. Once the fermentation settled down a bit, our new concern was keeping the beer warm enough to prevent the fermentation from stalling. Wrapping the bucket in a blanket will help retain the exothermic heat from the fermentation as well as shield from the slightly cooler ambient conditions (we don’t use space heating in my apartment, not really needed in the Bay Area. But that also means temps can get down into the 50’s). I may throw a hot water bottle under the blanket occasionally. Good thing I have the temperature logger to keep tabs on everything!!!
