As you can probably tell, I have been ignoring this blog for a while. To my surprise, I was getting a lot of interest from spam bots. A month or two ago, I had around 16,000 comments on the site and now I have over 42,000. While I am flattered by the sudden popularity of the site the excessive amount of traffic has been causing some issues. For this reason I am disabling comments on posts for now. If you feel the need to comment I am sure you can track me down via other means. If I can find the time and motivation it could be a fun exercise to do some keyword or IP address analysis on the spam comment data. Most likely I will just delete them. Anyways, Happy Holidays…
